I am an accomplished business professional with over fifteen years of marketing, sales and writing experience. I've somehow gone from VP of Marketing to VP of Motherhood, and loving every minute of it. VP of Motherhood is an invaluable title in and of itself, indeed!

Since bringing my beautiful 8-year-old son into this crazy world, I have taken on new areas of passion. My professional career has been mainly set within the high tech arena, whereby I grew the surreal corporate ladder from entry level to senior level marketing. I subsequently headed up all marketing efforts for a couple of technology start-ups including within an executive level capacity.

In the interim of taking time off from my tunnel- vision insight into computer internetworking, gigabits, Ethernet, and other cool but arguably overly decorated tech stuff, I've started looking at the world through the eyes of my child.... all the innocent children out there for that matter.

And what I saw galvanized me. I've conducted extensive research, interviewed experts in their respective fields, and learned about many facets of social, environmental and political injustice happening here, in America the beautiful among ALL socioeconomic levels. Perhaps the best education anyone can receive is traveling to other continents, offering a view of American culture through the eyes of other nations. While I hold onto a very optimistic viewpoint in life, looking at things with the glass at least half full, I've also become infused with a high dose of reality. Ignorance was bliss!

I've taken some of that dose of reality into positive cause marketing efforts, consulting and writing for a variety of non-profits. One client is an environmental health organization focused specifically on the environmental hazards inflicted onto children.

No, this former VP of marketing now VP of Motherhood is not a "know-it-all". My ship of discovery can sink now and then, and I always strive to learn more. But what I have learned is based on hard researched data, as well as common sense humanity and an honest, humbled step outside the ideological beliefs many of us were conditioned within our privileged upbringing . Ironically, it seems those of us living in the most peaceful, educated, upscale and diversely cultured areas of America are the ones taking an objective step back. It's like looking at the American culture under a petri dish and observing.

I would love to share my findings and walk through life, with the hopes of creating awareness and invoking the passion for all to hold a more open and posititive attutude and make our world...our nation, a better place. .
